Yes, you certainly can. However, they will most likely try and breed. You can keep them alone or in same sex pairs, but females can become egg bound if kept without a male. A lot of a seahorses physiology is based around finding a mate, so keeping them in pairs or mixed sex groups really is idea. If you do happen to have babies, you can just leave them be and let "nature" take its course in your aquarium. Plenty of animals in a saltwater aquarium will eat the young.
